New Years Mushing 2008/2009

We just wanted to say what a fantastic time we had.
We talk about it allthe time and have spent ages
arranging pictures into albums. Everyone we work
with has been so jealous when we've told them how great it was.

I could try to list all the things that made it so wonderful but that would take forever so I won't even try!
We hadn't expected to be able to do so much, it was lovely being able to go out with the dogs every morning and still have time for fishing, skiing (and falling over
as well!), horse riding and so on!

We also weren't expecting the food to be so good,
David has tried to replicate the blueberrysuppe
but it just wasn't the same!!

We very much hope we will be able to come back and join you again some time.

New Years Mushing 2008/2009

We had a truly wonderful time, in some ways the best
yet.  I loved being on a smaller tour, and it was great
to try something new like a drive with the puppies and
a pleasure to see old friends like Pluto thriving.

Dog driving in your beautiful landscape never ceases to
captivate me.  It is a privilege to be able to handle
the dogs and get to know them a little; they are
so unfailingly friendly, welcoming and tolerant of
our mistakes, as indeed are you and all your human helpers.

I love the house, the room, the surroundings, the weather, the snow, the people and of course the dogs!.....

This is a part from Hilarys review of
her New year Mushing tour 2008/09.

Munken Combi Mushing 2008

Hello Bergsvein, Kim, the huskies & the rest
of the Ostersund Massive – Robert & Denise here.
Just a quick line to say “tusen tack!” for a wonderful
week in snowy Sverige, we had a great time
with you all.

Fantastic snow-covered scenery, exhilarating sled
rides, excellent tucker, friendly & hardworking dogs,
great company and a real sense of being away
from it all – just what we needed.

Wishing you all the very best with your business,
we will keep an eye on your website to see how
the cross-country trips go.

Big hugs from Robert & Denise

Christmas Mushing Week 52 2006
This week has been an amazing experience
for all of us. We all learnt something new and different,
even for those seasoned huskey drivers amongst us!!
Despite the recent warm weather that has fustrated
alot of keen outdoor enthusiasts, we all managed to
get four magnificent days of dog driving and the cross
country skiing is a must, the ice fishing is definitely
for those who seek peace and quiet (hey Kim!).
The excellent hospitality offered Bergsvein and Kim
is second to none, the food was incredibly good, with
a hearty breakfast, the camp fire lunch in the tipee
and the scandinavian (with a hint of german)
cuisine to finish off a excellent day.

The many highlights of the week for all of us would
be the ice fishing (where we caught one big
pike (caught by Stephanei) which we then ate the
next day between seven of us and still had left overs
(for the chickens :p), the second highlight would be
driving the dogs out to a lake and made a nice warm
fire where we cooked bacon, meatballs, sausages
and a variety of warm bread.
Hopefully our wonderful adventures with Huskey Holidays
will have tempted you likewise and for those already
commited, you'll be guaranteed an out of this world
experience.
